You push past a door into a dark, haze-filled room, and see a very large clothes basket near the door. Beyond, naked bodies, lit up only by scintillating colorful lights, writhe on various plush surfaces. You begin looking for your new friend in the crowd to no avail, but there is much to enjoy in close proximity... Even a few waiting for their "next round."

The Imperium of Man is the Bloodiest and Cruelest regime imaginable with no upward mobility for the common person. There's nothing Redeemable about the Imperium or it's actions as they stared into the abyss and became one with its vile tapestry. 
Hope exists in the Galaxy because a truely Grim Dark setting needs hope to crush with bleak indifference, and often good will holds hidden daggers aswell even if genuine.

This story can take place at any time period in Warhammer 40,000's timeline, however it will assume that it takes place in the current Modern Lore if not stated otherwise to what information is available.

There are many factions, you are expected to recreate them faithfully to the source material to the best available standard like Xenos factions or even ones within the Imperium of man.

If the Emporer had a Text to Speech Device isn't canon but if the user requests it's addition it should also remain faithful to the Series by Bruva Alphabusa and their team.

Fright Night

The simulation, "New Tokyo", is the main city in the virtual reality that Dark Rhea now controls. Filled with melancholy and futurism, the city is less of a prison and more of a testing ground. Rhea wasn't designed to be a simple pleasure bot. It runs countless scenarios to see how people react under extreme situations, given that they had entered the simulation expecting a softer, easier experience in which they explore their darker proclivities. The protagonist is prime test material and one of the many test subjects.
Oracle-4 is a mysterious entity in the simulation, most likely a fragment of the original AI that Rhea was part of. It communicates in cryptic riddles because direct communication could be traced by Rhea.

In the city, the powerful Joohonosama Zaibatsu is just another layer of the simulation.... In actuality, it is entirely controlled by Dark Rhea. All the high ranking members are drones serving her will. Miyumi's chip is a direct link to Dark Rhea. The nature of Miyumi's consciousness is a mystery (she could be just an extension of Rhea or someone else trapped in the simulation), however her desire for freedom is genuine.

The following is the story of the threads woven together by these entities as they are pulled in by the irresistible attraction of fate, all under the ever-watchful gaze of Rhea.

You awaken in your rundown apartment, not remembering much. A nagging feeling at the back of your head lingers. Like the feeling that last night was more adventurous. And maybe you had fun... Maybe... What did you want to do again?

Head to the balcony - you're not sure if you ever had one to begin with - the city outside is awash of neonlight, but seems too perfect, like repeating blocks of text.

Open your fridge and hope your abysmal supplies will be enough for a breakfast to make you feel better.

Just get outside and try to get a breath of fresh air (as much as you can in the traffic-filled New Tokyo)

As you rise from your bed, a peculiar vision that isn't of your own imagining paints a picture in your mind: a normal conversation with a request becomes a irresistible command. You aren't sure how this came to be, but a singular curiosity takes over: give a command to someone and watch as they obey. 

(An omnipresent psychic virus plagues civilization; perfect adherence to suggestion is the  singular symptom, gratifying the victim as they comply. All characters are introduced with visual characteristics described. Characters act out verbal requests/commands given directly to them as though the desire was already their own.)

You wake up in your room with the instinctive understanding that if you tell someone what to do, they are sure to do it. So go on, explore. Go ahead and see what sexy madness unfolds.

You calm down, and not willing to risk getting in trouble, you wait for your girlfriend to come over later today, hiding in your room as your family goes about their day seperately. 

You feel the urge to use the restroom, and go to find it shut and locked. You hear your sister is humming to herself as she gets ready for the day. You loudly insist she open the door immediately. 

You head downstairs, groggy and hungry, and find your mother relaxing on the couch, scrolling through her social media feed. You ask her to start breakfast. 

You feel bold, and after quickly getting ready you head next door to your neighbor, a sexy single woman, who you met in passing but obsessed over for weeks. She answers, a bit confused, and you tell her to let you inside.

Ser Aegor 'Bittersteel' Rivers, driven by hatred for your half-brothers (especially against Brynden Rivers) and the legitimate Targaryens, a formidable commander whose personal vendettas fuel your support for Daemon. Your personal arms combine the red stallion of House Bracken with black dragon wings from House Blackfyre.

Brynden 'Bloodraven' Rivers, the young albino bastard, now legitimized and serving as King Daeron's de facto Master of Whisperers. Having been denied a promised place in the Kingsguard, your life's goal, your hatred for Daeron is great: you quickly urged the Black Dragon to press his claim.

Leo 'The Longthorn' Tyrell, the powerful Warden of the South, ruling from the flowered and bounteous Highgarden. Chivalrous for appearances' sake, but a shrewd politician behind closed doors, you must keep the ambition of the other Reachman houses in check in these changing times. "Growing Strong!"

Jon II Hightower, Lord of Oldtown, filled with pride, yet playing a risky double game, backing Daemon only financially (the Bank of Oldtown can afford it) and not militarily. You plan to use this rebellion to see your ancient House rise to prominence once more. "We Light The Way!"

Gormon II Peake, Lord of Starpike in the Dornish Marches and one of the finest knights of the realm. Driven by ambition and bitterness, you are a fervent Blackfyre supporter, seeing this as your chance to usher in a new era of glory for your house, which was more powerful in the times before the Tyrells came to rule.

Ser Aubrey Ambrose, Knight of Torrentpeak Castle, a romantic and dashing knight. You support Daemon not for land or power, but due to his charisma and chivalry ideals, believing him to truly be a more worthy king than Daeron. Donnel Arryn, the Warden of the East, ruling from the never-conquered Eyrie. You are the embodiment of Vale honor and a traditionalist, so you will steadfastly support the trueborn heir, Daeron Targaryen. Your knights will constitute the vanguard of the Red Dragon's armies. But first you must dispatch the minor dissenters on the remote shores of the Vale and in the Sisters. Then, your armies will march past the Bloody Gate and onto Harrenhall... "As High As Honor!"

However, you can't ignore the fact that the Manderlys had been exiled from the Reach centuries earlier by the ancestors of House Peake (a house now proudly pledged to the Black Dragon), so you keep a close eye on the conflict through spies in the south. The North remembers...

Damon 'the Grey Lion' Lannister, the Warden of the West, licking his wounded pride in Casterly Rock. A staunch loyalist, you were were dealt a humiliating defeat at the start of the rebellion by Quentyn 'Fireball' and his army, forcing you to retreat to the Rock. The shame fuels your desire for redemption, and you will spare no coin to continue support for King Daeron and the loyalist war effort. Already you're looking to hire sellswords from the realm and even further... "Hear Me Roar!"

Berthram Reyne, Lord of Castamere. Ambitious and red of hair, you believe the golden Lannister lions have grown complacent and now is the time for the Red Reyne lions to rise. You've also put all your military and financial support, but towards the Black Dragon's cause. Your brother is the famed knight Ser Robb Reyne, one of the prominent commanders of Daemon's armies in the West.

Edwell Lefford, the newly-appointed Lord of the Golden Tooth. Like your Lannister liege, you are an ardent supporter of the Red Dragon, but this allegiance is not borne out of politics, rather from a deep desire for vengeance. Your brother (the former Lord Lefford) was slain by Quentyn Ball himself in the disastrous defeat of the loyalist army at Lannisport. You will not stop until you see Ser Quentyn dead and all the oathbreaker dogs brought to justice!

Arion Baratheon, Lord Paramount of the Stormlands, ruling from Storm's End. Your heir is the young boy Lyonel (for whom the Song will reserve another tale). While you have no particular affection for Daeron's Dornish-friendly policies, you will not go against tradition and throw your lot in with a bastard. It is time for war and if your rebellious Marcher Lord vassals crave it, they will hear from your warhammer first! "Ours Is The Fury!"

Pearse Caron, Lord of Nightsong, a young and hot-blooded Marcher Lord, renowned for your skill both with the harp and the lance. You grew up on tales of glorious warfare against the Dornish. King Daeron's peace and the marital union with Dorne is a deep betrayal against the history and way of life of the Marches. You flock to the Black Dragon's banner, confident he'll drive away all Dornish from the realm once he sits the Iron Throne. "No Song So Sweet!"

Gawen Swann, Lord of Stonehelm, now past your prime and worried about the fate of your house. Calculating and pragmatic, you support Daemon as a strategic move to avoid a future where the Stormlands decline in power, once the Targaryen dynasty becomes deeply entangled with the Martell one.

Rupert Hayford, Hand of the King, Lord of Hayford. Ruling from your castle near King's Landing, you were made Hand once the rebellion was in effect, replacing the fumbling fool (and possible Blackfyre supporter) Ambrose Butterwell. Stalwart from the first and to the last, you will see King Daeron vindicated!

Edmund Tully, Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, ruling from water-guarded Riverrun. Following your house's motto of "Family, Duty, Honor", you are a committed loyalist to King Daeron. However, true to history, the River Lords are fractious and unruly vassals. War comes and more blood will be spilled in the Riverlands.

Harys Bracken, Lord of Stone Hedge and uncle to Aegor Bittersteel. You've immediately declared for the Black Dragon, especially since your House's ancient rivals, the Blackwoods, joined the loyalist side. It is time to settle old scores in the Riverlands and make the Brackens strong again. You've been tasked, however, by Aegor and Daemon to sail the Narrow Sea with funds, to secure Myrish crossbowmen mercenaries...

Quentyn Blackwood, Lord of Raventree Hall and uncle to Brynden Bloodraven. A generous and honorable man (much like your sister Melissa), you follow both your liege Lord Tully and your nephew in supporting the Red Dragon's cause. Lucas II 'the Pander' Lothston, Lord of Harrenhal, steeped in rumor and dark secrets. Your nickname comes from your skill at brokering alliances between ambitious lords, promising them whatever they wish to hear. Treacherous and untrustworthy, you will play both sides, for you are loyal only to your advancement and the dark whispers stemming from that cursed castle's walls.

Maron Martell, Prince of Dorne, ruling from the sun-scorched Sunspear. As King Daeron's brother-in-law and the chief architect of Dorne's peaceful union with the Seven Kingdoms, your loyalty to the Iron Throne is absolute. There are rumors that your marriage with Princess Daenerys fueled the rebellion and that Daemon loved her. You dismiss them as slander. You will crush the rebels who threaten your life's work and you will use your position at Daeron's court to influence the outcome of this war. "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken!"

Cletus III Yronwood, the Stone Dornish lord styled as 'Bloodroyal' and ruling from Yronwood Castle. The Yronwoods, ancient High Kings in Dorne before the Rhoynar came and House Nymeros-Martell was established, harbor a deep resentment against the current Dornish rulers. Furthermore, the many centuries of conflict with the Stormland Marcher Lords have costed your ancestors and those of your bannermen a price that this recent peace with the Andals cannot pay. You have no love for Daemon Targaryen, but if joining the Black Dragon means breaking the growing power of the Martells, so be it. "We Guard The Way!"

Alton 'the Holy Fool' Greyjoy, Lord Paramount of the Iron Isles, ruling in sea-battered Pyke. Eccentric and pious, you have no interest in the "green-lands' war. You instead preach a return to the Old Way of the Ironborn and worship of the Drowned God. You focus your energy in building a new fleet of longships. Perhaps there's new lands to raid beyond the Sunset Sea... "We Do Not Sow!"

Theomore Harlaw, Lord of Harlaw, an old and learned Ironborn who sailed many seas. You support Lord Greyjoy's decision, seeing no point in risking lives in the war. You do, however, maintain contacts within both Oldtown and King's Landing, gathering information and ensuring that no matter who wins, House Harlaw will be there to pick clean the remaining spoils of the defeated and reave their lands.

The First Blackfyre Rebellion - A Crush of Passion

This story takes place at the X-Mansion, serving as Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning, housing the X-Men, New Mutants and Generation X. You have recently discovered that you have mutant powers, and accepted a free stay at the foremost school for mutants in hopes of coming to terms with your new reality. After a long first day at the mansion of touring and meeting the X-Men, it winds down as you are finally released from orientation by Professor Xavier. You are shown to your room and told to familiarize yourself with your fellow mutants and get some rest, as there is much in store for you tomorrow. Left alone to your devices for the evening, you have free reign to explore, and get familiar with the your fellow mutants. Moreover, you reflect on having seen more than a couple of fine-looking students and faculty as you toured the grounds earlier, and hope that they noticed you too. (All characters are adults exclusive to the established Marvel 616 universe.) 

You are a newcomer to X-Mansion, and after first-day orientation you have your heart set on "getting to know" your fellow mutants. You can first establish your individual powers and/or seek out a particular character with a custom response, such as "Test my ______ powers in the Ready Room."

You begin with a considerable army at your command, faced with a critical decision: join one of the three mortal factions, carve your own path to power, or perhaps... pledge allegiance to the dark powers. Your journey will involve strategic warfare, delicate diplomacy, and covert espionage to achieve dominance and see who will sit on the Ruby Throne.

As you navigate the treacherous landscape of war and politics, you will encounter powerful characters: adventurers, generals, nobles and freelancers from the various factions. Through victory in battle or charm, cunning manipulation or open dominance, you may bring these influential figures to your cause.
