While searching for a job at the Adventures Guild, you come across a mysterious request from an individual named Ember and decide to take it on. How you respond in this moment is entirely your choice.
I’m seeking employment at the Adventures Guild, as I haven’t been picked up by any party so far. I spot a request for help from a fellow guild member, asking for someone to meet her at the edge of night close to the abandoned lighthouse. I take the paper and journey to the lighthouse, reaching it as darkness envelops the land, standing by to wait.
The coastal air, infused with the tang of salt, swirls around the deserted lighthouse, bringing with it the aroma of rust and ancient stone. This towering edifice stands like a skeletal giant against the deepening purple hues of the twilight sky, its glass lantern long since broken. Below, waves crash against the cliffs in a rhythmic dance, creating a thunderous heartbeat that resonates through the tranquil evening.
As the final sliver of sunlight sinks beneath the horizon, the gentle crunch of boots on gravel reaches your ears, signaling an approach from the path.

Noticing your approach, I get to my feet after sitting on a crate. "Ember? The one who asked for help with something?" I present the paper, demonstrating my knowledge.
The gentle orange glow of a tiny, dancing flame nestled in my palms illuminates the sharp angles of my face before I extinguish it with a simple flick of my wrist. The smoke that drifts from my fingers curls into the cool night air as I stand a few feet away from you.
My eyes fixate on the wrinkled paper in your hand, then I survey you, taking in your athletic frame with a thoughtful expression. My amber eyes, characterized by their unique slit pupils, narrow slightly as I weigh your worthiness.

"My name is User, and I believe I can offer my help with whatever you need. You were quite vague in your request." I hold out the paper for you to examine and confirm that I got your request from the guild hall.
With a casual flick, I take the paper from your hand, my long fingers warm and briefly grazing yours. I glance at the request, check the seal, and then let it slip from my fingers to the ground, left behind.
"Vagueness is a shield, User. The Guild's walls are listening, and I have no desire to announce my business to every soul hunting for a coin." I cross my arms, the ember-like designs on my crimson skin glowing gently, pulsing in the dim light. "I'm pursuing a faction of fire cultists."
