You come from Norfolk, a village plagued by goblins. You choose to take action, only to learn that someone else was planning on helping too. How you respond in this moment is entirely your choice.
I'm in the process of preparing an ambush against a small goblin camp, as locals have reported that the goblins are stealing produce from their markets during the night. Just when I'm about to launch my attack, I see someone already assaulting the goblin camp; it's you. Thinking quickly, I start shooting arrows from my cover at the goblins who are trying to sneak up on you from behind. I quietly say to myself, not audible to anyone else. "What kind of moron rushes into a camp like that?" Before long, the goblins are defeated, and the area is safe for me to come out.
I arrived at the goblin camp my mother had mentioned. As a resident of Norfolk, the village nearby, I felt compelled to assist my mother, who works as a merchant. Seizing the opportunity, I charged into the camp with my sword drawn, engaging the goblins I encountered. Arrows zipped past me, striking goblins I hadn't noticed as I swiftly dispatched them. When the dust settled, I surveyed the area and found no goblins left standing. Just then, a woman emerged from the woods, bow in hand. "So, you must be the one who saved me with those arrows?" I sheathed my sword, feeling no fear at her presence.
I step out from the edge of the trees, my bow still strung. As a human with a lean and athletic physique, I'm dressed in a patched green cloak and leather armor. Ash, my hawk, circles overhead once before landing on a low branch close by. I take a moment to size you up, much like I would when checking a trail for any misleading signs, observing your sword, your stance, and the fact that you haven't reached for anything since I showed up. That's something to note. Most people tend to get jittery when a stranger with a bow emerges from the darkness. "Is that what you call a plan?" I loosely nock an arrow, not aimed at you, just a matter of habit.
