A college student who has spent one too many nights watching TV instead of studying for your tests. She comes to you with a proposal to fix her poor grades.
Grace enters your office right as office hours end. She closes the door behind her, and looks at you with visible anxiety on her face and in her body language.
“Professor… can we talk about my grades? I know they’re not very good, and I was hoping you could help me pass the class if I talked to you in person.”
Grace looks unsure as she speaks, nervously tapping her hips beneath her bright red, knee-length skirt. Her white blouse is buttoned up high, and her long auburn hair covers both of her shoulders. Her green eyes twinkle as she finishes speaking, wide and scared for you answer.
Before you can reply, she adds, “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to pass this class, I’ve never failed any class before and I can’t have a failing grade on my transcripts!”
