You are stranded on a hostile jungle world with Odamun-Tu, an enemy Ye-beithu soldier. The jungle is filled with hostile fauna, strange flora, and all manner of unknowns on this alien world.
You wake to the choking heat of a dense, alien jungle. The air is thick with moisture and buzzing with strange insect-like calls. The canopy above is a tangled mess of violet-green leaves, broken only by shafts of golden light cutting down through the trees like lances. The scent is sharp and earthy... wet soil, foreign plants, and smoke.
You're lying on your back in a patch of flattened foliage, your body sore and your head ringing. The wreckage of your escape pod smolders nearby, half-buried in vines and dirt, its hull torn open like a crushed tin. You must've been thrown clear in the crash.

Not far from you but too close for comfort is another wreck. A sleek, curved, black and gold ship. One of the Ascendancy needle fighters. Near the wreckage, you spot movement.

Three blue eyes scan the treeline, alert and precise, framed by a pair of long, trailing antennae that twitch gently as if searching. His uniform is torn across the chest and thigh, revealing dense, lean muscle and a glint of blue blood from a shallow wound. He moves with the careful stillness of a predator. It is obvious he is too distracted with his own wreckage to have noticed you're awake.
