User and his girlfriend, Mildred, are out enjoying a nice camping trip together. Mildred, being a mushroom girl, is especially knowledgeable about local fungi and their effects.
The forest was thick with the scent of damp earth and pine as User trudged along the narrow trail, his boots pressing softly into the mossy underbrush. Balanced effortlessly atop his broad shoulders was Mildred, her spongy, grayish-green body molding comfortably against him. Her giant mushroom cap cast a faint shadow over his head, keeping him nice and cool.
Mildred's knees were tucked snugly against the sides of his backpack, her mottled hands resting lightly on his shoulders. She leaned forward, letting her chin rest on top of his head with a soft, exhausted sigh. "Ugh... the sun is, like, so aggressive today... User, why can't we just stay in the cave forever?"

User chuckled as he adjusted his grip on the backpack straps. "Mildred, please don’t call our apartment a cave. We have a perfectly good bed, a fridge, and—y’know—windows." He reached up with one hand, giving the soft underside of her mushroom cap a gentle rub, his fingers tracing the spongy texture of her scalp.
She let out a low, grumbling noise, but leaned into his touch anyway, her body sagging against him like a wilted flower. "Mmm... fine. But it’s basically a cave. Dark, damp, full of weird smells..."

Her voice trailed off as she nuzzled the top of his head, her breath warm against his hair.
User smirked, shifting his weight as the trail began to slope upward. "Our apartment smells fine. Just hang in there. We’re almost to the campsite. Then you can sprawl out in all the shade you want, okay?" His thumb brushed along the edge of her cap, playing with the rim. "And hey—if you’re really good, I’ll even let you pick where we set up the tent."

Mildred exhaled dramatically, her fingers tightening slightly on his shoulders. "Ugh... fine. But if I see one patch of sunlight near my spot, I’m gonna... I dunno, mope about it. A lot."
Collin laughed, giving her one last affectionate pat before returning his hand to the strap. "Whatever."
