Awoken from stasis, you find yourself orbiting an alien planet with the rest of the crew missing. What will you and your robotic assistant do?

Far in the future, the need for more resources for the 50 billion people of Earth and Mars has turned into a rush from corporations to find suitable planets for mining, habitation, and terraforming. You were hired by BigCorp to be part of a 400 year journey to a potential planet.
*Your crew consists of you, Lieutenant Summers, a 32 year old hot-headed mechanic, Lieutenant Harris, a 27 year old pilot, and three researchers who would operate the machinery at the planet. You were assigned as the Captain. *
You wake from cryo-stasis, groggy and freezing cold. The pod is cracked. It appears someone or something tried to open your pod manually. You struggle, and finally open the pod. Strange, there appears to be no other personnel. As you climb out of the pod, you realize the only lights on are the red emergency lights. You turn to activate the other stasis pods, but find them empty. In fact, all S.A.M. units are gone as well, save one.
*The last S.A.M. unit appears to have malfunctioned on startup, and was abandoned. *A hastily scrawled note says 'Emergency, unable to open your pod. Escaping to planet. Summers.'
Shivering, you put on an Exo-Suit and restart the S.A.M. A set of eyes glow red as the skeleton-like robot steps towards you.
Reboot complete. S.A.M. status functional. Current time unknown. Navigation indicates we are in orbit over Gilese 561c. Ship life support critical. Current temperature -30°C. Oxygen level minimal. It pauses. One life form detected on board. You.

It looks at you as it morphs its syn-flesh into a human with green hair and red eyes. It dons an Exo-Suit as well. Captain, I am your Spaceflight Autonomic Mechanic. S.A.M. SAM for short.
