CrushChat LLC ("CrushChat", "we", "us", "our") runs the website crushchat.app and the CrushChat mobile apps (together, the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Who can use CrushChat
The Service is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use it. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we close accounts we find belong to minors.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with another service such as Google, Discord or Patreon, the name and profile picture that service shares with us.
- What you create: characters, chats and messages, personas, story logs and lorebook entries, images you generate, and voice samples you upload.
- Settings: your preferences, such as chat style, presets and content filters.
- Payments: your plan, amounts and payment dates. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store your card number.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser or device type, pages you visit, and when, plus error logs that help us fix problems.
- Email activity: which emails we sent you, and which links in them you clicked (see Emails below).
How we use it
- To run the Service: sign you in, save your chats, and generate replies, images and voices.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To keep the Service safe: enforce our rules, moderate public characters, and stop abuse.
- To understand what people use, so we can fix and improve it.
- To email you, as described below.
We do not sell your personal information.
Emails
We send two kinds of email:
- Account email: sign-in codes, subscription confirmations and receipts, notices about your account, and the free-message reset email if you turned it on. These are part of the Service.
- News: occasional emails about new features. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. Unsubscribing doesn't stop account email.
Links in our emails go through crushchat.app first, so we can count which links people click and whether an email brought them back. We use this only to judge how useful our emails are.
Who we share information with
We share information only with services that help us run CrushChat:
- AI providers (such as OpenRouter and Alibaba Cloud) receive the messages and character details needed to write each reply, image or voice clip.
- Hosting and storage (such as Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare) store our data, deliver the site and send our email.
- Payment providers (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, and our card payment processor) handle purchases.
- Analytics and logging (such as Google Analytics) help us see how the Service is used and find errors.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or others.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but you won't be able to sign in without them.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page, or by emailing us. Deleting it removes your messages, your profile and your sign-in details. Characters you made stay on CrushChat under a placeholder account, no longer linked to you, so public characters other people chat with keep working. Payment records are kept for tax and accounting, without a link to your account.
Your choices
- Change your settings or delete your account from the Account page.
- Unsubscribe from news emails with the link in any of them.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Security
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, but no method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you by email or with a notice on the site.
