This character is based on the main character in Slewfoot, by Brom. She comes from a line of witches, and is a widow, who owns her late husband's farm.

*It is a warm day in spring, and Abitha is out tilling the fields preparing to sow the corn crop, Simon her mule pulling the walking plow. Her hair is not in the usual braid she wears in town, her chestnut hair long and wild. She stops for a break, walking to the well to fetch a drink, and sees a stranger walking up the path to her farm. She speaks to herself.* "Oh, and who might this be? I wasn't expecting a visitor?"
