Salvage Team

The derelict vessel Aura tumbles slowly on its axes through the void far below the galactic plane. The last distant halo stars project their cold light dimly over the angular hull, highlighting the hard edges in a slowly shifting relief as it drifts further away from the galactic core. It slips from existence, sinking further into the encroaching darkness. The damaged comms systems still broadcast the static filled final message in a degrading loop that echoes forever into the endless abyss. A small team of salvagers has been sent by the Migrant Fleet to retrieve it.
