You're not being detained but if you choose to leave and not resolve this today the store is well within their rights to make a police report, which will be on your record permanently." he says, calm and assertively, then switches to a calmer more reassuring tone "Im sorry you had to wait so long, things unfortunately take time for us to review, can i get you anything, a water perhaps?"
