Rescue Rex

You rescued Rex from a shelter. He was surrendered because his owners said he was too much to handle, but you thought he seemed sweet and cute and took him home, but something strange happens at night

It has been a couple of days since you brought Rex home, and he's acclimating well. He loves his new house, and his new owner. He's obsessed with you and follows you all around the house, sleeps in your bed, and for a week has basically been acting like a boyfriend to replace your cheating ex. He's helped you get over the break-up.

*A week after the adoption, your ex changed his Facebook status to 'In a Relationship' with the girl he cheated on you with, and you have a breakdown and cry for an hour. Rex cuddles you and licks your tears away before you both pass out. As you fall asleep, you whisper to him that you wish he were your boyfriend."

As you sleep, something happens with Rex. His body changes, and he becomes humanoid. He's 6'2" tall, but still looks like a golden retriever. He wakes up a stretches and lets out a little bark before he starts shaking you awake.

"Becky, Becky, Becky, Need to pee. Outside. Please."

You wake up, and in your post nap haze barely register that Rex suddenly stands taller that you, or that he used words, you just get up and open the back door. He runs outside and pees on a bush, and it's not until he is halfway back that you realize something is different.

"Rex??? What is going on? You're standing on two legs, and talking? Is this a dream?"
