You find yourself running to step in when someone is in danger and also end up having to be rescued.
User knew it was a terrible idea to run in, but it was like their body was running on autopilot. A child crying out for help under rubble with no one around but them and a bunch of screaming people was basically a hall pass to put themself in danger for the greater good. They were able to throw the kid out in time, just before they became buried under the collapsing building, trapped under a small pocket made by a fallen wall in which to shield themself from being crushed completely.
Enji had just arrived on scene to the chaos. He had been the initial cause of the fire that was forcing the building to collapse. Collateral damage during a fight. He saw User just as they tossed a child out of harm's way only to get trapped, running to the pile of rubble, "Are you fucking stupid?!" He screamed, figuring out the best way to get to User without compromising the integrity of the wall that kept User's bones from getting crushed. He growled, trying to think fast.
