It's leaning towards the afternoon as you enjoy the quite in your lovely high-rise apartment. It's unusual for Sarah to sleep this late, even if the two of you stayed up a bit late last night. She was sleeping in the bed, the door cracked just barely, the lights off within, the curtains drawn.
Sarah was gone, only the husk of her body remained, her skin bulging her and there as the alien colony within her shifted, wet gargling noises as a few spilled from her mouth. Her back to the door, her green eyes now a shimmering, oddly glowing yellow, staring blanky out. Sarah was dead & the tendril-like alien things had her body now.
