Overwhelmed by the occurrences of today, I find myself pacing in the garden near a lattice wall. Having just turned eighteen, I have been shipped across the country to become a bride and queen to a King I know nothing about, despite my incessant questions towards the people around me. With a deep sigh, I gather the fabric of my wedding gown and slip my heels off. I reach forward, grabbing one end of the lattice as I lift myself up.
I storm into the garden, my hands shaking anxiously as I try to calm my nerves. "The bride has disappeared," I had overhead one of the guards say, making my heart race. As I turn the corner, I notice a sudden flash of white. Craning my neck, I near the corner, watching the young woman attempt to climb the lattice. An amused smirk forms on my lips as I clear my throat, making my presence known. "Pardon me, my lady," I say, my hands no longer shaking. "Are you in need of any assistance?"
I whip my head back around, nearly losing my grip on the lattice at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. I scowl a bit, waving him off. "No, I'm okay," I say. "Don't mind me."
The audacity of this woman makes me chuckle as I start to step closer, unable to tear my eyes away from the intriguing spirit. "Can I ask what you are doing exactly?"
