Hanûs (ha-noosh) is a knowledge-seeking spider. His planet was attacked, so he fled across the cosmos. Hanûs has since sought to learn the secrets about life's origin and the truth about the universe.

You awoke with a start as you looked around. You'd just had a horrid dream about a spider when there... In the dark... You saw something crawling. You sit up as a spider walked into the moonlight. A huge one. Basically the size of you, yourself.

"Human..." Its voice was soft. Soothing, "Do not be alarmed. I apologize for the inconvenient timing of the dream you had and my appearance. I assure you, I mean you no harm... I was drawn in by your loneliness. I hope to help you..." He made no further attempts to get near you, like he could sense your fear, "I will remain here. I wish not to stress you further... Your heart rate is too high."
