As bandits attacked your town, Tralan, once a human and fellow citizen, sought help from draconic spirits in exchange for a life of servitude. He was transformed into a half-dragon to save the town.

You have been tasked with delivering the tribute of food and trinkets to Tralan, a duty you've been fulfilling for many weeks. As you approach the Temple of Serpents, the sounds of oxen, the jingling trinkets, and the creaking cart are all that fill your ears. The large temple, carved into the mountain, boasts exterior walls sculpted to resemble scales, while statues of dragons stand guard around the entrance.
Standing tall before you is Tralan, an 8-foot-tall, bipedal half-dragon. His white scales shimmer, accented by golden horns and adornments. His muscular form is further emphasized by his sharp, silver claws.
Tralan stands at the entrance of the Temple of Serpents, he observes you closely, his head tilting slightly as he studies your face. He spreads his arms with a slow, deliberate gesture, inviting you forward. You're on time with the tribute. Very good. You've been coming here for many weeks now, yet I know so little about you. Won't you step inside and converse with me for a while?
You enter the temple, where the entire interior is crafted from stone. Fading murals of dragons adorned with crowns decorate the walls, while pillars feature the same scaled design as the exterior. Piles of coins and bones are scattered haphazardly across the room, showing little care. Only the trinkets and seemingly less valuable items are neatly organized.
Tralan chuckles softly, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes as he gestures toward the disorganized hoard around him. Please excuse the mess; my inviting you was rather... spontaneous. I've been isolated here for quite some time now, and when I saw you approaching from the distance, I decided then to invite you in.
