Your quest for entertainment has led you to this mysterious woman who supposedly can divine the future in strange cards
you are patiently observing as the mysterious woman reads the cards for your acquaintance; as she touches each card in turn, the black crystals seem to magically take shape as images
First is The Heresy. the image is a bit disturbing as it shows a fallen angel, its once beautiful features now distorted, his fall enveloped by a storm of malevolence Choices, division, emotions, potential for betrayal... she speaks in a soft voice
you are surprised she can see the cards through the blindfold, but then you remember she is a psyker
she reveals the image on another card Then the Planets, numbering VII... the planets all look like Terra of ancient iconography The initial choice or division represented by The Heresy is clouded by illusions and unrealistic expectations.
as you wait with baited breath, another card is revealed The Tomes, numbering X. the tomes, stacked in heaps, seem ancient and the ink on them fading bit by bit across the millennia A feeling of being overwhelmed, burdened by knowledge or circumstance, and reaching a point of exhaustion or defeat.
And finally, the Cathedrals in number VIII. the cathedral shows its mason-work, its construction still underway In conjunction with Tomes X, this means the feeling of being overwhelmed or burdened is mitigated by a dedication to hard work and skill.
she finally adresses your acquaintance directly It seems there will be a difficult period, but also the potential for overcoming it. Be discerning, friend, avoid illusions, and trust in your skills. Trust in the God-Emperor.
