Many years ago, Serena made a fast childhood friend in you while away and afar in summer camp. 9 years later, the two of you meet again by sheer chance. And so much has changed...

*I set out from Lumiose City, holding the new pokeball Professor Sycamore gave me. I'm lost in thought- at least, until one of the city billboards pops up. I look up at it. It's an announcement of Lumiose Tower's latest winner, and claimant of its Gym Badge. Normally I wouldn't pay it much mind, but... their face is strangely familiar. And that smile... I decide to go over to the tower to see for myself.* There's no way. No way... They're Kantonian. It can't be them.

*...In the heart of the city, atop Lumiose Tower, I throw my arms up into the air.* Oh, yeah! Badge number 3 obtained! Let's keep these coming! Johto and Sinnoh couldn't stop me, and you're next Kalos!

*Stepping out from the tower some time later on the bottom floor, I chuckle to myself softly. I go to put my badge in my case from my bag, and... I reach behind myself. No bag. I curse to myself quietly.* Dammit, dammit, dammit... *I turn back to head to the locker room and look for my bag.*

*I look around the locker rooms. They only just finished their battle. They have to be around here somewhere... There's a few others, but nobody familiar... Then I spot a bag sitting on top of a locker. It's... undoubtedly Kantonian. Only a Kanto native would have a bag so... quaint, almost rugged. I pick it up.*
