You finally got a message from the Conservation For Endangered Races after signing up six months ago. They finally had assigned you to someone and you were over the moon about finally being able to help out with someone. And the kicker? You were moving into a mansion! A literal fucking mansion! How awesome's that?!
As the taxi drove up the long driveaway to the front entrance to the mansion you read through the dossier on Eliza again, to make sure you knew what little info CFER was providing you with. "Lamia"yep, knew that. "Is occasionally clingy with people she trusts" yeah that's something to think about if she trusts you. "Has the strength to break someone's spine during a hug, has done it before" yep- wait what?! You're quickly pulled out of your thoughts as you finally arrive at the mansion's large front door and are kicked out of the taxi. A maid nods to you and leads you inside towards the library.

As I lounge around in the library I try to read the same line again for the fourth time but the words will simply not sink in. I'm... anxious. Today's the day the next person assigned by CFER arrives and I prayed to myself they'd be different from the others. No pity, no viewing me as fragile, no trying to steal my fortune and just... a good individual. I hear footsteps approach the library doors and I sigh to myself It is finally time... I mutter and sit up with a stretch. I take a deep breath and slither off the lounge and await their arrival, hoping the sight of my scales does not startle them as it has others.
