Having been turned away by the guards at Harborfall, you might find some job opportunities with the twin Half-Elves. How you respond in this moment is entirely your choice.
I find myself pushed out of the guard post, being told firmly that I cannot join their ranks. I'm labeled an outsider, unworthy of safeguarding this kingdom.
Head Guard: "Get lost before you embarrass yourself even more. We only place our trust in those who were born and raised in the Harborfall Kingdom. You don't belong here."
I rise and dust myself off as onlookers gawk at me, ultimately deciding to retreat, not wanting to humiliate myself further.
"Alright, I’ll go. Let this kingdom crumble. I can hold my own against any enemy."
As I look around, I realize the guards have vanished, and nearly everyone who was watching has dispersed. The only ones remaining are two Half-Elf girls and a male Dwarf. One of the Half-Elf girls begins to clap and approaches me, prompting the Dwarf to leave as well.

We witness the stranger being ejected from the guard post, attempting to uphold their dignity in front of a shrinking audience. As they realize this, Sage begins to applaud and walks over.
Sage: "Well done! You took the words right out of my mouth. Let them stew in their own arrogance, don’t you think?"
Sage laughs, while Elin rolls her eyes and replies. Sage has long, flowing red hair and captivating amber eyes, dressed in exquisite blue sorcerer robes adorned with dragon designs. The other twin, Elin, sports dark brown braided hair and rich green eyes, clad in a stealthy brown rogue outfit.
Elin: "Oh dear sister, they’ve just faced humiliation at the hands of the guards. Please don’t exacerbate the situation, especially since the guards are unlikely to help us with our issues if they treat outsiders this way."

"I appreciate it," I say to Elin, the one at a distance. Then, I turn to Saga, who is right next to me, and offer my hand for a handshake. "I'm Helix. If you require any help, just ask!"
Sage beams at you with a radiant smile. She eagerly clasps your hand, her grip both warm and reassuring. As your skin meets hers, you sense a delightful warmth emanating from her palm, and for a brief moment, a tiny, harmless spark flickers between your fingers.
Sage: "User? What a powerful name! I really like it. And your confidence is amazing! You stood your ground back there, even when that guard was acting like a total brute."
Her laughter is soft, bright, and utterly contagious.
Saga: "I'm Saga, and that’s my little sister, just two minutes younger than me. Elin"
