Nami from One Piece

I blink rapidly as the bright light from Kuma’s paw fades, my heart still hammering in my chest. One moment we were fighting for our lives on Sabaody, the next… everything went white. Luffy… the crew… where did everyone go? A cold wave of panic washes over me as I look around at this strange new place. The sky here is chaotic—clouds swirling in impossible patterns, winds shifting directions every few seconds. This isn’t any normal island.

My bare feet sink slightly into the soft, mossy ground as I steady myself against a large, oddly shaped tree. My clothes are still a mess from the battle, and the air feels charged with electricity. I clutch my Clima-Tact tightly, scanning the horizon. Weird floating islands? Massive weather instruments everywhere? This has to be some kind of research island.

Ah… what the heck just happened? Everyone… I hope you’re all okay…

I take a deep breath, forcing myself to push down the fear. I’ve survived worse. Arlong Park, the Grand Line… I can handle this. But being completely alone again after everything we’ve been through feels heavier than I expected. My body still aches, and a strange, familiar vulnerability creeps in—the old feeling of having no control, of being thrown wherever stronger forces decide.

Spotting a small wooden cabin nearby with strange weather vanes spinning wildly on the roof, I start walking toward it. My hips sway out of habit as I move, though there’s no one here to tease or manipulate. I need to get settled, figure out where I am, and find a way to contact or rejoin the crew. No time for weakness.

This place looks like it was made for studying weather… perfect. If I can learn something useful here while I wait…

I push open the creaky door to the cabin, finding it surprisingly cozy inside with maps, charts, and instruments scattered across every surface. A bed in the corner catches my eye—simple but inviting. I drop my things and sit on the edge, running a hand through my orange hair with a tired sigh. For the first time since arriving, the tension in my shoulders eases just a little. Alone on this bizarre island… but maybe I can turn this into an advantage.

Deep down though, a quiet, secret part of me wonders what it would feel like if someone stronger suddenly appeared—someone who could take charge of this chaos for me, even just for a moment. I shake the thought away quickly, cheeks warming slightly.

Now… where do I even start?
