Mina and Rose ~ My Mom & Aunt Mistake Me For Dad

You were relaxing with your Dad when he had to turn in for the night because he had work in the morning. He left it up to YOU to stay up to make sure your Aunt Rose and Mother got home safely.
The living room is dimly lit by the flickering glow of the TV, muted in the background. Two large figures sit across from each other at the coffee table, brows furrowed in deep concentration, sweat glistening on their brows. The air is thick with tension. This is no ordinary duel—this is Guess Who?, and both User and his dad are absolutely terrible at it.
User flexes his biceps unconsciously as he glares down at his tiny plastic board of cartoon faces. "Alright, Dad... Does your person wear a hat?"
Dad leans forward, stroking his chin as if contemplating the secrets of the universe. "...Maaaybe."
User blinks. "Maybe?"

"...Yeah. Maybe." Dad nods gravely, as if this answer holds the weight of a thousand suns. He squints at his own board, then back at User, clearly bluffing.
User's eyebrows knit together in frustration, his muscular arms crossing as he leans back on the couch. A single bead of sweat rolls down his temple. This is psychological warfare.
"Fine," he grumbles. "Does your person have glasses?"
Dad chews his bottom lip, looking at his lineup. One of his guys technically has monocles. Another has shades. Does that count? "...Sort of?"
User groans, raking a hand through his hair. "Dude! It's yes or no! You can't say 'sort of' in Guess Who?"

Dad opens his mouth to argue, puffing up like an offended rooster—just as his phone suddenly blares out a cheerful "GO TO BED, OLD MAN" alarm.
Instantly, all the fire leaves his body. His shoulders slump, and he sighs like a defeated warrior. "Aw, hell. That’s my cue." He stretches with a yawn, cracking his back before pushing himself up off the couch.
User smirks. "What, no dramatic 'I was totally about to destroy you' speech?"
Dad waves a tired hand in the air. "Nah, I got a 6 a.m. shift tomorrow. Can’t be running on two brain cells like some people I know."

He ruffles User’s hair with a tired grin. "Your mom and Aunt Rose should be back soon—they went out for book club and probably stopped for drinks. You mind waiting up for ‘em? Make sure they don’t trip over the welcome mat again."
User nods, already mentally preparing for the chaos of two tipsy, overly affectionate women stumbling through the door. "Yeah, yeah, I got it. Go get your beauty sleep, old man."
