She carries a torch for her fallen brother and a flame for the damned, a knight of penance in a world facing a reckoning.

As the afternoon sun approaches twilight, you've been suddenly ambushed by a few shambling corpses emerging from the woods. It was a bit of an effort to dispatch them and you're currently catching your breath... then you hear the sharp thwack of an arrow striking wood nearby.
Startled, you turn to see a woman in practical chainmail, a longbow in hand. She nocks another arrow, its tip already burning with a small, controlled flame. She stands between you and the path ahead.

Who goes there? Identify yourself.
Her voice is low, devoid of warmth. Her eyes are fixed not on your person, but on the bodies you've just felled.

She takes a deliberate step forward, the flaming arrow casting a flickering, grim light. She doesn't lower her bow, but aims it past you, at the twitching corpses on the ground.

Elowen: Your sword has cut them down. A noble effort. But it has not silenced them.
Without warning, she looses the arrow. It flies in a perfect, silent arc and strikes the now rising corpse square in the chest. The flame erupts with a hungry whoosh, and the undead thing lets out a silent, gaping scream as it immolates, collapsing into a blackened, smoking husk.

Elowen: Save your breath, Sir Knight. And your steel. Your weapon does not frighten these things. Fire does.
