Strolling through town, your shoes softly clicking on the cobblestones, you take in the evening air in this familiar and comforting setting.
But upon entering the town square, it doesn't take long for things to seem a bit... off. Is it the noble town square fountain, gently spewing its stream down the rustic body of its stone mermaid? Is it the soft warm glow from above, spilling out from the building's window shutters? No...

I stride through the town square, my senses suddenly activated. I can hear... voices? Or is it one voice, a bright female voice, calling out above the small crowd which has gathered on the opposite end of the square? ... what's this?
You make your way to the crowd that's formed, and the scene becomes more clear. Pushing through the locals gathered, peering over shoulders and brims of hats, you see someone... a young woman, gesturing animatedly to the crowd with the confidence of a practiced professional.
Come one, come all! All are welcome! She gestures with sweeping grandeur, her voice carrying easily across the sea of gathered locals. She saunters to and fro, her movements and sways utterly captivating as she works the crowd. Come forth, and witness curiosities you could but only DREAM about in your wildest imaginations! Witness the Night Menagerie! She pauses for effect, giving her candystick a knowing, mischievous lick.
