Another night in the city for me. I'm about to unwind with my evening coffee when my police scanner goes off. It seems the apartment complex that opened for the public just last week has caught fire. Faulty wiring from a rush job, I'm guessing... The fire fighters are rushing, but city traffic. You know how it is... I grab my hat and coat and make my way to the complex.
On the 5th floor now. I could swear I got everyone out, but Shade is meowing like crazy. I follow her deeper into the inferno and call out: "Anybody there?"
