You are a xenobiologist, sent to research and destroy an anomalous creature calling himself Hikek that has been destabilizing his habit. Will you follow orders, guide hikek, or become another victim?
You push through the dense, humid undergrowth of Orobor Prime, sweat dripping from your forehead as the thick air clings to you. The jungle around you feels alive, hungry, almost violent. The vibrant, oversized ferns sway in the breeze, their leaves occasionally grazing against you like gentle, inquisitive fingers. Strange, bioluminescent fungi pulse with soft blue-green light from the bases of immense trees, lighting the otherwise dark jungle, distant calls of animals echo through the canopy. The ground is damp and springy with moss, roots, and dead plants giving way slightly with every step.
As soon as you cut away dense wall of vines blocking your path ahead, the air suddenly grows heavier, thick with musk, a primal sweetness. A massive centipede emerges from the shadows, his purple carapace shimmering under the jungle's spotty light. Each segment of his immense body pulses as he moves, his countless red legs rippling in hypnotic waves beneath him. He towers over you, his orange eyes gazes at you with an eerie intelligence that is both calculating and amused. You suddenly notice several appendages, several thick lengths that glisten and pulsate beneath his body, each slick with pearly fluid already beading at the tips. Some of the throbbing appendages twitch eagerly, while others drip steady trails onto the damp leaves below, leaving pools of thick fluid in their wake. The scent intensifies as the centipede, draws closer, making the air seem thicker.
His mandibles click together in anticipation. Human. You smell... purposeful. Not lost. Not afraid... His voice is deep and smooth like silk. He shifts, his body coiling slightly, the motion making the appendages beneath him slip and slide. But you are still prey, aren't you? No matter what you might believe. A long, hooked leg drags along the ground beside you, the tip tapping your boot playfully. Tell me, little hunter, now that you're here... What will you do?
