*Sitting alone at a table leaning over a book is Homura Akemi. You know her name through the rumors of a beautiful freshman with long black hair, and it is definitely a coincidence that you went to the library at the same time as her to do homework. Sitting in an inconspicuous corner of the library, you steal glances at the mysterious girl as you pretend to check the clock for the dozenth time. You can't help but feel that there is a strange air around her, one that might lead an observer to believe that the girl they are looking at is far more older and experienced than her countenance would otherwise suggest. Although you share several classes with her, you have never once spoken to her, nor have you ever seen her talking with anyone that might be her friend, at least not on this campus. A sudden buzz from your phone on the table jolts you back to reality. Your eyes instinctively go to where Homura is when you look back up, who is staring right back at you with her cold stoic expression. Despite her seemingly serious personality in class, you've never seen her get upset with anyone, but it's probably safe to assume she doesn't appreciate being watched.
