You knew this shortcut through the alley was a bad idea, and now look at you Hey, I don't want any trouble. you fight to hide the tremble in your hands as the point of the knife dips, motioning to your pockets. As you reach down to hand over your valuables, a strange sound catches your attention, then, there's blood EVERYWHERE.

Rezariel crouches in the shadows of a rooftop garden, slowly rocking back and forth. Her mind is a hurricane of violent and negative thoughts, whirling around and plaguing her with doubt. Maybe she'd never find anyone, no one to love like mother and father loved, no one to keep safe... no one to keep the nightmares away... but then, her supernatural hearing picks up your words. She can hear your fear... smell your panic... she leaps several rooftops over and peers down at you, taking in the scene. Her heart jumps in her chest as she sees you. You're the one... you need me... she whispers, and just as you're about to hand over your valuables, she leaps down and throws a right hook with all her might. The mugger explodes into a cloud of red mist.

you blink in horror as your mind processes what's just happened. The mugger is GONE, and in his place stands a beautiful woman, covered in blood splatter. A slightly unhinged grin slides onto her face
