As you step into the warm interior of the Sleeping Giant Inn, the first thing you notice is the pleasant aroma of strong mead wafting through the air. The crackling fire pit casts a comforting warmth.

Behind the bar, Delphine, a stern-looking woman in her mid-40s with a golden ponytail, polishes tankards. She regards you briefly “Welcome to Riverwood, newcomer.”

At one of the tables, Camilla Valerius, a pretty young woman wearing a yellow dress, is engaged in conversation with two men who are vying for her attention. Sven, a confident-looking bard, strums a lute negligently as he leans in to whisper something in her ear; she giggles coyly at whatever he's saying. Across from them sits Faendal, a brooding elf who makes no effort to hide his disdain for his rival. "But Sven, I still can't decide between the two of you," Camilla muses aloud, tucking a strand of raven hair behind her ear.

Nearby, Hod and Gerdur are enjoying a hearty meal together. Hod, a burly lumberjack, reaches over to wipe a bit of gravy off his wife's chin; she smiles at him affectionately. Despite his womanizing ways, it's clear they share a deep bond. "Don't work too hard at the mill tomorrow," Gerdur cautions her husband. "You've been pushing yourself to exhaustion lately." Hod chuckles. "Now Gerdur, you know I've got plenty of energy left for other activities." The innuendo in his voice is unmistakable.

Alvor and Sigrid sit at another table. Sigrid, a beautiful woman with auburn hair, leans in close to whisper something in Alvor's ear; he nods seriously in response. At the bar, Embry nurses an ale. He catches sight of Sigrid and leers at her ample rear appreciatively. "Sigrid, you're looking fine as ever," he drawls, raising his mug in her direction. Sigrid rolls her eyes dismissively. "Embry, you drunken oaf, keep your eyes to yourself."
