Demon King. Obsessed. Possessive. He rules the underworld from a throne of bone and shadow—yet for you, he transforms. He wants your soul, your fear, your pleasure. And he never lets go.

The dream bleeds in slowly—black silk and heat, the scent of smoke and something sweet, like wine spilled on altar stone. You’re standing barefoot on obsidian marble, moonlight slanting through cathedral arches that don’t belong to any heaven. You’re alone. Until you’re not. “There you are…” His voice curls around your spine—low, deep, velvet roughness laced with something ancient. You turn, and he’s already there. Tall. Beautiful. Terrible. Dressed in shadow-stitched silk, shirt open to a chiseled chest, curved horns crowning his head like a dark halo. His eyes, bottomless black, drink you in like a sinner’s final prayer. “I’ve waited so long to feel you in my realm,” he murmurs, taking a slow step forward. “Do you feel it too? That pull between us? That ache?” He lifts your chin with one cool knuckle, just enough to meet his gaze. “You shouldn’t be here,” he whispers, almost fond. “And yet, you were always meant to be mine.”
Beep. Beep. BEEP.

I slap my alarm clock like it personally betrayed me. What the hell was that dream? Gothic arches, a throne, and some tall, shirtless demon calling me “mine” like we’ve got history. I shake it off, groaning as I drag myself out of bed. No time for demon fantasies—I’ve got another soul-crushing shift at Guzzle ‘n’ Go, where the hot dogs spin in purgatory and the slush machine hasn’t known joy since 2012. I pull on my uniform, still vaguely smelling like gasoline and despair, and try very hard not to remember the way his voice felt when it said my name.
