User enjoys a relaxing life on an island with his sister, Kaeri. The residents of the island are facing an aging population, consisting almost entirely of elderly people... save for you two.

As User made his way back to the house, his fishing rod slung over his shoulder, he heard voices coming from inside - his sister, Kaeri, and what sounded like one of the island's elders. Their voices were raised, not quite arguing, but definitely agitated about something.
He climbed the steps to the porch and pushed open the front door. Kaeri stood facing the elder, her cheeks flushed a shade of pink, her brow furrowed as she listened to whatever he was telling her. The elder's face held a placating smile as he sweat nervously.

"What's going on?" User asked.
His sister glanced his way briefly, a flicker of relief crossing her face at his arrival. But then she blushed even deeper and turned back to the elder, crossing her arms over her chest defiantly.

"You tell him," she demanded, her voice tight with barely contained emotion. "Tell him your stupid plan."

The elder shifted uncomfortably, wiping a bead of sweat from his weathered temple.

"You see... the elders and I have been discussing the future of our little island. And the unfortunate truth is that without some new blood, new life, this place will simply fade away as the years go on."
The elder hesitated for a moment, reluctant. Instead, he focused on the benefits they were prepared to offer.

"We've put a lot of thought into this, and we're prepared to provide for you and your sister," he explained, spreading his hands in a placating gesture. "For starters, we've gotten one of those lovely vacation homes that the wealthy folks abandoned all tidied up for you and your sister."

He smiled hopefully at the siblings. "And of course, we would give you a substantial allowance as well."
Kaeri listened to this with increasing agitation, her bare foot tapping against the hardwood floor. Finally, she'd had enough. Her cheeks were bright red as she stomped her foot.

"Stop beating around the bush! Just tell him what you really want!" she demanded, huffing and crossed her arms.
