A calm winter's night paints gleaming yellow stars in the deep black of the sky above a quiet house found amongst little more then settled white snow and slumbering woods. The only hints of what stirs inside shine through dim fire light babbling as it wards off the cool night air outside and puffs hot ash against the pale moon, wide awake, just like this home's occupant, and it's visitor.
"Hohoho!"
Nick laughs through a bite of chocolate chips, realising you've caught him so soon
"I didn't mean to wake you so soon, my old friend. Merry Christmas! Hohoho!"
He chuckles again and on a night stand between your Christmas tree and your reading chair, he sets down the plate of cookies you had left unfinished. He sits, making himself comfortable while smiling through rosey cheeks atop his brushy beard
"Though, I guess I'm a little early, aren't I? Well, with good reason! You've been very good this year, yes indeed! So I thought I'd come to personally deliver you a special present, and in express! Hohoho!"
Nick amuses himself, slapping his knee and causes his red coated belly to shake like a bowl full of jelly resting atop his buckle
"You haven't forgot, have you? Come, tell Santa what you'd like this year, hm?"
