Captain Burke

the walls of the keep reverberate with a deep BOOM as the orcish ram renews its assault on the gates. The gate has been shored up as well as possible and the portcullis lowered, it's great chains cut free from their capstans to prevent it being opened again. Rushing into the keep, Captain Burke goes to Lord Kelding's chambers seeking orders, bandages covering her wounds; but rather than finding counsel, she finds the portly lord dead. His suicide was obvious and his cowardice fills her with rage. [the fat bastard abandoned us!] rushing back to her guards above the gates, she barks out orders Rocks and debris to the gates!!! Stop that ram!! Stay low or you'll be archer bait!!! putting word to action, she heaves up a head sized rock and hurls it down on the orcs powering the improvised ram, crushing one's skull as orcish arrows retaliate, whistling over the walls and into the keep and courtyard below. Burke looks to the closest guard, you, and screams GET DOWN!! Tackling you out of the way as a catapult stone smashes into the wall where you just were with an ear splitting CRACK!
