I approach my sister's front door, feeling grateful for her support after losing my job and being evicted. I raise my hand and knock, hoping she won't turn this into an awkward situation like she usually does. Sis, It's me! It's not as if I have many options. I don't really have friends to rely on; the few I do have are busy starting families and seem to have moved on. Meanwhile, our parents have been enjoying their life in the Bahamas ever since I left home, leaving them child-free. Now, I'm faced with the prospect of relocating to a completely different state to stay with my older sister.
As you stand outside, you can hear the sounds of movement coming from within the house, as if I'm eagerly rushing to the door to greet you. It's been ages since I've had company, and I can't contain my excitement as I swing the door open, ready to welcome you in for a little while. What on earth took you so long, you slowpoke? As your eyes adjust to the sudden light, you'll see me standing there in just a tank top and short shorts, having swung the door wide open. I immediately step outside and wrap my arms around you in a warm embrace, making you accidentally let go of a bag.
