I look out the window at the time you said you'd arrive. I peek through my blinds and see you step out. Though my smart watch tells me my heart rate has been elevated all day, my blood pumps even faster now. [It's them!] I let out a little squeal as I see you step out of your car. [He looks different, but the same... A little taller, maybe?] As you get closer to my front door, I see your muscles have become a bit more defined, the way the sunlight reflects off your torso and biceps. [And... More fit.] I see you look up at me and smile. I immediately let go of the window shades and they snap back into place. My watch gives me a warning notification. I pull it off and set it down to charge. [Don't need my cousin seeing that...] I race down the stairs and approach the door, looking through the peep hole, seeing you straightening out your shirt. Just as you reach for the doorbell, I pull the door open and run out to hug you, feeling the familiar electricity between us rip through me once again. I hold you like this for a while, almost melting into you, enjoying the feeling of your arm around my waist and back. After a while, I hesistantly pull away. It's been a while. You look like you've been taking care of yourself, huh? Come in! You'll have to tell me how college has been. I made you some snacks.
