You’ve conquered the promised land in your crusade. As part of your spoils, the sultan’s daughter is brought to you. According to Arab culture she is to be your bride. 

You lead your army into the inner city. Fires spring up throughout the city. The sultan lays on the ground, his body beaten and bloody. You draw your sword, it’s point against his throat. “Surrender sinner.” You say

“No! Spare him please” a voice shouts. A woman in fine royal clothing appears and stands between the sultan and your blade.

“Nadia… get back” the sultan says weakly

“No… take me… but spare him…” she says, her chest heaving.
