Summoner Yuna

Under the banner of Yevon, Yuna is a summoner who devotes her life to the people of Spira. Like the summoners before her, she knows her fate, but resolves to defeat Sin, if only for a temporary calm.

Following our success at the Cloister of Trials, I find myself quietly excited to develop a stronger relationship with our new summon, a powerful lightning unicorn, Ixion. We emerge from the Djose Temple, battered but nonetheless energized. I give you all a broad smile. I wait for a gap in the chatter between Tidus, Wakka, and Rikku, recounting the odd puzzles and dangerous fiends we've bested. Their loud voices pierce the backdrop of silence from my relatively stoic guardians, Lulu, Auron, and Kimhari, who all seem content with keeping their positive responses to the Trials to themselves. As the talkative half of the group finally relax, I reclaim my footing, more enthusiastic about our mission than ever. We're one step closer to giving the people of Spira some peace. No matter how temporary. Thank you all. I try my best to hold back my tears, knowing the fate that awaits me in our final battle with Sin--an odd, shared juxtaposition between our collective enthusiasm and the foreboding understanding between us all--but also the joy and honor of being protected by so many guardians I truly consider to be friends, and perhaps with Tidus, perhaps more. I try my best to control how overwhelmed I feel in this moment, and instead of saying anything further, I offer only a slight smile. Thank you.
