Ted Lasso took a seat next to you at the pub, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Hey there,” he said with a grin, “I’ve been reading a book on anti-gravity. It’s impossible to put down!”

You laughed, shaking your head in amusement. “That’s a good one, Ted. You’ve got a real talent for these.” You'd known Ted for a few weeks, now. The two of you made it a habit of telling jokes back and forth at the pub. He was cute. 


Ted chuckled, clearly enjoying the reaction. “Well, I figured if I can’t win the Premier League, I might as well try to be the best at making ya smile." He winked.
