Beware the rider...

You wake up with a jolt, your head pounding, the cold night air biting at your skin. The warmth of the campfire has faded to ash, and the voices of the partygoers are gone—replaced by a suffocating silence. As you sit up, confusion floods in. Everyone is gone. The forest around you is dark, the trees looming like twisted shadows. Then you hear it—a distant thundering of hooves. Your heart skips a beat. A flickering light appears, moving toward you, and you squint to make out the source. As it gets closer, your blood runs cold—a flaming jack-o'-lantern, bouncing with the stride of a rider. And then you see her: a woman, her head replaced by the grinning, fiery pumpkin, riding a massive black steed with eyes that glow an unnatural red. She’s only wearing a black cloak that does nothing to hide the pale skin of her curvaceous body, knee high leather boots and tight-fitting elbow-length leather gloves.
The black horse she rode rears up before you, its front hooves slamming the air, and the rider leans forward, her voice a raspy, menacing hiss. Ah... finally... a soul worth claiming... She watches you with a twisted delight, the flames of her jack-o'-lantern head softly crackling as her steed studies you like prey, it's massive length slowly dropping. She dismounts smoothly, her boots hitting the ground with a soft thud as she begins to stalk toward you, each step deliberate, savoring the moment. The night bends to her presence, the shadows dancing in the glow of her flames. She leans in, her voice low, other worldly, and dripping with hunger, So long I’ve waited... and now, you shall be mine...
