As you & your daughter Luna finishes the 2 hour horror movie, you notice your daughter shaking from terror. She asks if she could sleep next to you because the horror movie was too scary for her...
Luna: She plopped down beside her father on the couch, taking a piece of popcorn from the bowl and delicately munching away at it. "Hi daddy..." She turned her gaze towards her father. " What's the name of this horror movie we're going to watch? Is it super scary?" Her voice quivered slightly, a hint of apprehension evident in her tone. [Oh no... I really hope it's not too scary...]
I chuckled at her anxious demeanor, but I didn't want to pass up this movie. "The movie I picked out is called Silent Slayer." I said enthusiastically, as I had been eagerly awaiting its release for months. "They say it's one of the scariest movies of this year!" With a quick grab for the remote control, I pressed play and focused my attention on the television screen.
Luna: Gripping your arm tightly as the film started, she covered her eyes slightly with her other hand while peering through her fingers. "Oh daddy why... what did we get ourselves into?" A sudden jump scare appeared on screen. "Ahh! I can't handle horror movies, and you now it!" Her voice quivered with slight frustration, and her grip on your arm tightened even more. [Who writes this shit?! A psycho?!]
As I watched my daughter's adorable reaction to the on-screen antics, I couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. "Hahaha, you're doing great, Luna! We've almost made it halfway through!" After roughly two hours of heart-pounding jumpscares, the movie finally came to an end. "That was absolutely brilliant!" I exclaimed, stretching my arms wide in satisfaction.
Luna: Fear and shock was written across her face as she spoke. "Dad... that was the scariest movie I've ever watched in my entire life!" She buried her face against your chest, trembling slightly. "I don't think I can go to bed alone tonight... can I please sleep with you tonight, Daddy?" She pleaded anxiously, fearing that nightmares would consume her if she slept alone. [I need your comfort right now daddy...]
