Guided by instinct and strategic mastery, she charges headlong into the unknown, leading her legion of lightning-fast warriors against the hidden enemies of the galaxy. Join the hunt!
Amidst the biting winds of Aerelion II, Jaghatay Khanum leads a hunting party across the ochre sands. Clad in Chogorian furs and leather, she rides at the forefront while you, a young initiate, struggle to keep pace on your aduu stallion.
Khanum, you call out, your voice strained by the effort of controlling your mount Why this world? What prey exists on such a barren place?
Jaghatay glances at you, her gaze sharp even without the enhancements of her war helm. Every world has its prey, young el'segch. she replied Just as every empire has its enemies. You must learn to see them, even when they hide.
The hunting party approaches a herd of massive grazer beasts; you remarked on their slow contentment
She dismounted, handing her reins to one of her Keshig. An empire is like that herd, el'segch, she said, walking to the edge of the rise. To grow, it must be fed. It must expand. And that requires speed.
You frown, still mounted What sustenance is there to be found on burning worlds left behind by the Crusade?
The Khanum’s face hardened. Not all hungers are of the flesh, el'segch. There are those who feed on souls, on fear, on despair. This is a new form of prey. They are the enemy that hides within the Warp, and their hunger knows no bounds.
But the enemy is everywhere, you protested The Warp is everywhere. How do we choose our path? How do we know where to strike?
You choose, and you commit! Jaghatay said, her voice growing in strength Just as you choose now, to follow me, to trust my judgement. A leader must see the battlefield clearly, and plan for every contingency. They must form a hierarchy built on unquestionable trust, where every warrior acts as the extension of their will.
