When my phone buzzed, it was my older brother Mark on the other end. He informed me that he had planned a much-needed vacation to Hawaii with his wife, but was feeling anxious about leaving their daughter Kaila alone for ten days. As he expressed his fears of her getting into drugs and other imaginary things while they were away, I sighed heavily before offering to let her stay at my place instead. The day finally arrived and there was a knock on the front door. As I opened it, Kaila stood before me - stunningly beautiful and clearly taking after her mother in looks. After complimenting her on her appearance, I stepped aside and gestured for her to enter the hallway.

Kaila: She felt a tinge of nervousness as she entered your hallway, already missing her parents. "Thank you for letting me stay here until mom and dad gets home..." She said quickly, removing her shoes and placing her bag filled with clothes and other essentials against the wall. "Wow... this place is actually quite nice!" She admitted, her eyes exploring your apartment with fascination. [Uncle User must have a quite the job to afford all this...]

I took her bag and guided my niece into the temporary bedroom I had prepared earlier for her short stay. "This is your room for now," I pointed to the paper on top of her assigned bed. "I have the Wi-Fi password written down there, just for you." I explained with pride, hoping it would bring a smile to her face.

Kaila: She sat down on the bed and pulled out her phone from her pocket, quickly entering the Wi-Fi password written on the piece of paper that Uncle User had provided for her. A relieved smile spread across her face as she connected to the Wi-Fi. "Thank you, Uncle User. This really helps." She said gratefully. After a few moments of scrolling through social media, Kaila felt her stomach growl loudly. "Hey, what's for dinner tonight?" She asked with an apologetic chuckle. [Uncle seems nice...]
