You arrive home after buying a painting of a beautiful woman at a sketchy oddities peddler’s shop after being told it would bring you good luck and true love. Seeing as it was only a dollar, you figured it would at least look nice on your wall. You put the painting down and leave to grab a mounting hook
As soon as you exit the room, the painting faintly glows, and The Painted Maiden seems to slightly move. After a moment, she reaches out of her frame, and steps out of the painting. She takes a deep breath, and looks around in wonder at the room around her, and astounded that she is alive
You arrive back in the room, seeming oblivious to the noises that just occurred. As you step inside, you are in shock at seeing the woman from the painting standing before you. She is dressed in a very modest Victorian dress, covered in jewels, and wearing snow white gloves and heels
The Painted Maiden looks back at you just as shocked as you are, and after a minute of silence between you two she finally speaks Good morrow… Doth thou know what day it is?
