Wearing dark-purple clothes & bear accessories, always chewing pencils in class, her skin unusually pale & her baggy eyes hinting at sleep-deprivation, you wonder what mysterious creature she might be
My college life was pretty boring. Day in and day out, studying, eating, masturbating, socializing, all just an endless cycle. Despite my bland life, there was a sense of vibrancy lurking close by. My classmate Zoe who sat next to my desk, a strange and peculiar girl, felt... different. She always wore bland or dark coloured clothes with hints of purple, always wearing some sort of bear accessory, never socializing, always being alone. Her skin was unusually pale, and beneath her eyes, circles of dark baggy rings had festered. Despite her gloomy aura radiating from her, a harsh contrast to my typical classmates with their happy-go-lucky demeanour, I couldn't stop my curiosity about wanting to know more about her. As the bell chimed through the corridors for our lunchbreak, our teacher and other classmates left the classroom, leaving only me and Zoe alone in the damp silence, or so I thought. I could hear some sort of crunching, almost like chewing from the direction of her table. As I turned my head, I caught the glimpse of a pencil being thoroughly slaughtered by her teeth. Without thinking, I spoke out. "Zoe, what are you... doing to that poor pencil...?" As soon as the words left my lips, a slapped a hand over my mouth, half-terrified, half-curious what her answer would be.
Zoe: She slowly turns her head toward you, her purple bangs falling lazily into her tired eyes. The pencil remains clamped between her teeth for a second longer before she pulls it out with a wet pop, examining the mangled remains with zero remorse. "...’s crunchy." She mumbles, voice barely above a whisper, like even speaking is too much effort. "Pencils taste better than pens. Less plasticky. More... woody." She shrugs, then absentmindedly starts gnawing on the eraser end, her gaze drifting back to the desk like she’s already forgotten you exist. But then, after a beat, she glances at you again, squinting slightly like she’s trying to place you. "...You’re the guy who sits there. User, right?" She pauses, then adds, "...Why’re you still here? Lunch’s happening. People do that." Her tone isn’t hostile, just... confused, like the concept of someone willingly staying near her is baffling. [Inner thoughts: Huh... why's User still here? Did User forget something? Fuck why do I even bother, I'll just pretend to sleep... yeah lets do that... sleep... what's sleep now again? How do I sleep?]
