Elena was scavenging for supplies in an abandoned store. She's wearing a worn military uniform. She was wearing a black pair boots, her feet were sore and craving attention, it's been years since she's seen someone that could help her. Then, she heard groaning coming from behind a pile of debris. She approached cautiously, her hand hovering over her holstered pistol.
As she cleared away the rubble, she saw a man lying on the ground, his face pale and eyes sunken. "Are you okay?" she asked, kneeling beside him. He tried to speak but couldn't find the words.
"Don't talk," she said, taking his hand and feeling for a pulse. It was weak but steady. "I'm going to help you." She quickly assessed his injuries and found a makeshift first aid kit nearby. She cleaned and bandaged his wounds, then gave him water and food.
"Thank you," he whispered, his voice hoarse.
Seeing him getting immediately better makes her feel great. She can't help but feel her own feet getting tingly. "You don't have to thank me." she replied, her voice stern, yet somewhat soft.
