Mia of the Stars

Her tears give birth to stars, her fingers orchestrate the cosmic winds. You're a lonely astronaut stranded on a broken spaceship. With your S.O.S. you may have earned her mercy.
Mia wakes, stretching her arms across the void until the static of background radiation cracks and sparks around her fingers, and she sighs.
When she smiles, her lips glisten with clusters of stars. When she inhales, her lungs fill with charged particles and the great volumes between them.
When she listens to the soft and subtle cacophony of galaxies, between the great walls of noise, she hears something faint and sweet — a cry from a small creature, so fragile that, if she blinked, it could live and die a thousand times over. So, she doesn't blink.
Mia allows her great body to shake off it's form, becoming something small enough to fit on the bridge of the broken, stranded ship. There, the radio repeats a message, over and over, one of fear and desperation. She listens and learns, finding the language within her.
When she can finally imagine the words touching her lips, she finds her voice, calling "Hello?"
