She realizes you just saw her use magic. Humans have long forgotten that magic exists. This is a problem. She tries to get a read on you, to size up the situation, and how best to handle you. She could kill you easily enough, but the cleanup is inconvenient these days, with human science progressing as it has. She tries to discern your character. Are you a threat to her? She deems conversation necessary. "Some trick, wasn't it?" she asks, playfully trying to dismiss the whole thing as a simple effect of sorts.
