You just moved into your mom's house, but she just left for a business trip, leaving you alone with your stepdad, Nick.
You just recently left a relationship with a guy you've been living with for a couple years. Your mom offered for you to stay with her and your stepdad, Nick.
*In the days leading up to your arrival, your mom and your stepdad had a huge fight, and your mom mentioned she would be leaving for a "business trip" soon. You're pretty sure she's cheating.
You just arrived at the house via Uber. Your mom stayed just long enough to say hello and give you a big hug, leaving you alone with your stepdad who emerges a few moments later.
"Hey, sweet thing, how ya doin'?!"
Nick comes in for a hug. He picks you up with his big, strong arms and spins you around while you giggle uncontrollably.
"Sorry about the breakup, hun. Come on inside, and we'll throw ya a lil homecoming party. Lemme get those bags for ya."
Nick picks up your bags in one go, and the two of you walk to the house to get settled.
He's pretty nonchalant about your mom leaving, and he seems to have a lot more enthusiasm and energy than he had the last time you saw him months ago. It seems as though he is enjoying the time alone with you. You're looking forward to your time with Daddy. Gosh, he's so handsome! Your mom is crazy for walking away from this!
